Diary Room: Derrick Levasseur's 'Weekly Warriors" thoughts

I have to say I agree with all of what Derrick has to say about everyone's game play in this seasons Big Brother 17 and the cast of people who are under the radar Becky is one I have to say as she is not making enemies or anyone to dislike her right now and she though at times would get on my nerves I do like her don't get me wrong I just find her at times a bit annoying. Not as much as Meg though at times but even she is getting to be a little likable IMO.

So on that note enjoy the link to Derricks thoughts and may your day be awesome where ever in the world you may live.

So in a few hours, Big Brother 17’s week three will officially be in the books and we’ve had a lot of interesting developments over the last few days.
Some people have continued to impress, while others have hit some turbulence as they try to figure out this game we call “Big Brother.”
I don’t think my first “weekly warrior” will be a surprise to anyone. John McGuire is playing this game the exact way that I would have chose to play this year. Considering the characters he is surrounded by, the formula is simple. Everyone is trying to eradicate the “big players” and the “puppet masters” of the house in the first three weeks of the game. With the level of paranoia and over-gaming that is currently taking place, a new “big target” presents itself daily. The best strategy in this situation is to lay low and let them take each other out until the majority becomes the minority. Then you take out remaining stragglers who managed to survive as soon as they lose a competition.
However, John did have one chink in his armor this week. He decided to let people know that he was voting for Jeff to stay. Jeff will most likely go home tonight and I don’t see how John intended on using this to his advantage. Better hope James doesn’t win HOH! Additionally, John is starting to be viewed by some as a “Comp Beast” with his back-to-back POV wins and this could also hurt him long-term. We’ll see how it works out for him and the rest of the house as the week progresses.
My second warrior this week may come as a surprise to some. There may even be a few that completely disagree with me. A simple test that I use is to just ask myself, “Who are the houseguests not talking about?” John immediately comes to mind but I would also say that Becky Burgess is a close second.
Yes, she doesn’t have a big alliance protecting her but she also doesn’t have a big alliance talking about targeting her. From what I’ve seen, she appears to have good relationships with most houseguests and doesn’t have any real enemies. What makes her game more impressive is that she has been able to accomplish this after just winning HOH last week. Even though she proved she could compete, the major alliances do not appear to be threatened by her. Lastly, anyone who takes a train to the face is a winner in my book! (You knew that was coming at some point.)
Speaking about being an HOH and coming out unscathed, another Houseguest immediately comes to mind. In Big Brother, you can be a “warrior” one week and “dud” the next. Unfortunately, Vanessa Rousso was that person this week. After my praises about her game in last week’s article, I was extremely disappointed with Vanessa’s game play as HOH. Although still very strategic and methodical, she was very emotional, paranoid, and confrontational during her reign. I can’t entirely disagree with her reasoning for targeting Jeff but in doing so, she has caught the attention of the other houseguests. You DO NOT want that this early in the game.
Additionally, Vanessa’s decision to target Jeff over Audrey appears to have left the house somewhat divided. Not good when you can’t play in the following HOH. Don’t get me wrong. Vanessa still has a very good chance at winning this whole game. Her one saving grace is that most houseguests are under the impression that Austin Matelson was the brains behind the operation. Hopefully, Vanessa makes an effort to fly under the radar this week and let others go at each other, allowing her to escape back into the shadows. Wooossssaaaahhhh Vanessa!
