At home, Lauren tells Michael they're out of time. He knows it's been thirty days - he has to decide whether to file for divorce. Lauren says they can't keep sleeping separately or it's a marriage in name only. Upset, she says they still love each other and it was a privilege to date him this month. She wants more time. He admits this time together has reminded him about all the wonderful things about her. He confirms he's staying. They embrace.
Abby finds Kyle at the Abbott mansion and asks if he's daydreaming about Phyllis. He admits he's worried about Summer. She wonders if he's having second thoughts, and then talks about her dismal relationship with Alex. Kyle warns her again not to tell Jack about the kiss. They are arguing about it when Jack enters and overhears. He wants answers. Kyle says their lips sort of met while decorating. Jack wants him to say it was an accident. Kyle says nothing. Jack orders them both out.
At Crimson Lights, Courtney's on the phone with Summer. She tells her she saw Kyle looking morose. She warns that her parents are looking for her and 'might' know that she's planning on visiting modeling agencies. Summer plans to throw them off her trail.
Nick and Phyllis are at a modeling agency in Chicago waiting to see if Summer will show up. Phyllis wonders if Nick will tell her the truth. He says it can't be put off any longer. Nick wonders what Phyllis did to put Kyle off Summer - it couldn't possibly be worse than what he did. They talk about what he did and whether he'll be forgiven. Phyllis doesn't know if Jack will forgive her for not telling him immediately...or for kissing Kyle. Nick rubs his face. They each get a text from Summer saying she's going back to Genoa City. Nick says he knows her; he isn't buying it. They agree Phyllis will return. She says he's been a great dad; she would never turn Summer against him. Nick asks the agency to call him if Summer arrives.
Fen visits Carmine at Boulevard. He wants help scoring drugs. Carmine say he's not a dealer or a user - he thought Fen was smarter. Fen leaves angrily. Carmine tries to call Lauren.
At home, Lauren ignores Carmine's call and tells Michael not to let him ruin this. Michael rips up the divorce petition while she cheers. He pulls her into the bedroom.
Carmine takes the garbage out at Boulevard and spots Fen unconscious behind a dumpster. He tries frantically to wake him and phones 911.
Michael is about to make love to Lauren when her phone rings - it's Carmine. Michael answers. Carmine says Fen is in the hospital - he OD'd on some drugs.
Abby and Kyle rehash the scene at the Abbott house. Courtney appears and tells Kyle that Summer might come home if he called and said he was sorry. He calls.
Summer enters the modeling agency as Kyle phones and says he'll be better if she'll give him another chance.
At Crimson Lights, Kyle tells Abby that Summer's giving him another shot. Abby says he's much better off with the cub than the cougar.
Summer turns to leave the modeling agency and Nick is there. She complains about him and Phyllis wrecking things with Kyle. He says they had a good reason for it. "Something happened. Many years ago, and I hope you can forgive me for it."
Jack is ogling the bottle of booze in his living room as Phyllis enters. She says she has to tell him something. He says he already knows - Kyle and Abby were talking about it. Phyllis asks what it is he knows. He says she kissed his son! Phyllis admits it's true. "But I had a good reason for it."
